Caur valkājamo keramiku "EXO" tiecas radīt harmoniju starp valkātāju un apkārtējo pasauli, sniedzot gan dziļu estētisko un emocionālo pieredzi, gan aicinot skatītāju pārdomāt ievainojamību un aizsardzību.

Šī valkājamās keramikas kolekcija iedvesmojusies no aizsardzības koncepta — kā fiziskā, tā psiholoģiskā nozīmē. Katrs keramikas eksoskelets kalpo kā simboliskas bruņas, pētot, kā cilvēki meklē drošību ne tikai pret ārējiem draudiem, bet arī pret iekšējiem izaicinājumiem, piemēram, trauksmi un trauslumu. Eksoskeletu izveidē izmantoti motīvi no igauņu folkloras un dabas aizsargstruktūrām, apvienojot tradicionālos simbolus — tādus kā zvīņas, krustus, kvadrātus — ar mūsdienīgām pašrefleksijas idejām un psihoanalītiskajiem konceptiem, piemēram, altruismu, intelektualizāciju un sublimāciju.

Eksoskeleti, kas tiek novietoti uz cilvēka ķermeņa, ir veidoti no (galvenokārt kvadrātveida) keramikas moduļiem. Tie tapuši no pārstrādāta, kā arī baltā un melnā māla un ir savienoti ar nolietotu izpletņu auklām. Visi mazie moduļi aizgūti no pašas dabas, kur dažādu zvīņu un zvīnveida formu atkārtošanās veido drošu barjeru starp radību un pasaules briesmām.

"EXO" tapšanas process ir lēns un pārdomāts — katrs eksoskeleta modulis tiek veidots ar rokām. Šī atkārtotā radīšanas darbība ir meditatīva, ļaujot māksliniekam ielikt nozīmi katrā detaļā. Caur šo kartēšanos atklājas ritmiski raksti un simboli, kas atspoguļo dabas ritmu un kārtību, kāda atrodama tādas aizsargstruktūrās kā bruņas, zvīņas u.tml. Šīs formas simbolizē izturību, spēku un harmoniju ar dabu.

Through wearable ceramics, EXO seeks to create harmony between the wearer and the world around them, providing both a profound aesthetic and emotional experience and inviting the viewer to reflect on vulnerability and protection.

This wearable ceramic collection is inspired by the concept of protection, both physical and psychological. Each ceramic exoskeleton functions as a symbolic armor, exploring how people seek safety not only from external threats but also from internal challenges such as anxiety and vulnerability. The exoskeletons draw from Estonian folklore and natural protective structures, blending traditional symbols – like scales, crosses, squares – with contemporary ideas of self-reflection and psychoanalytic concepts such as altruism, intellectualization, and sublimation.

The exoskeletons, which are placed on the human body, are created from (mostly square) ceramic modules made from recycled clay, but also white and black clay, and are binded

together by ropes of discarded parachutes. All the small modules are drawn from the nature itself where the repetition of different scales form a safe barrier between the creature

and the dangers of the world.

The creation of EXO involves a slow, deliberate process in which each module of the exoskeleton is hand-made. This repetitive act of making is meditative, allowing the artist to

embed meaning into every piece. Through this repetition, recurring patterns and symbols emerge, reflecting the natural rhythm and order found in protective structures like shells,

scales etc. These forms symbolize resilience, strength, and harmony with nature.
